African American Read-In: A Community Celebration

Created by the National Council Teachers of English this celebration makes literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

The Dock Bookshop in collaboration with the African American Museum in Dallas hosts a local African American Read-In. The African American Read-In features public readings, poetry, book discussions, speed dating, authors, vendors, etc

Come hear students, local celebrities, and community leaders read works by their favorite African American writers. This event is for adults and children.
